Baan Salawin at The Coolwater - Guest Comments

Andrew,
I would like to personally thank you for our stay at Coolwater 3. We had the option of course to stay anywhere in Thailand and Coolwater was the ideal place to be, with the blend of the modern and clean of the villa with local and rustic of the town. The layout of the house itself was perfect for my wife and our two children- more than adequate actually- and the proximity of the pool, not 3 meters outside the main door, kept our son thoroughly entertained, with more wet waking hours than dry, I believe.
The view is probably my favorite part, but I have to say that after a few days we stopped driving so often and all began to really enjoy a walk into town, whether it was to the Wednesday afternoon local market, for lunch on the beach, or to take in the dual cultures of mosque and Buddhist temple, sharing the same neighborhood. Every afternoon the distant chanting would begin, and this would add a special exotic touch to a lovely scene, over the lip of the pool and below the villa.
The morning breakfasts of fresh fruit and whatever was requested the day prior was excellent and yet another chance for me to try our my horrid Thai with the pleasant women that would come and prepare.
As I write I think of more and more experiences but in the end it was not one single thing, it was a warm and exotic general impression that has remained with me.
Again Andrew I thank you deeply.
